Anyways, my shoulder has been killing me lately. I am not sure if its from Audrey or what but its been terrible. Eric came home last night with a heating pad for me, a rose, and some chocolate. I would say I have a great man. Poor guy bought ghirardelli chocolate with carmel... only he bought the dark chocolate version. I hate dark chocolate, he was soo upset when he realized. It was such a sweet gesture though <3
I have been wanting to make banana bread so I finally found a recipe I am going to try. Eric is pretty excited! I love cooking! If only it didn't cost so much to buy a billion ingredients.... especially here in Hawaii. Every time we get groceries our bill is at least $150!!
Banana Hazelnut Bread
makes one loaf + about 2 muffins
adapted from Williams-Sonoma
6 T butter (3/4 C), at room temperature
1 C sugar
3 very ripe bananas
3 eggs, lightly beaten
1/2 C low fat buttermilk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 C whole wheat flour
1 C all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp freshly grated nutmeg
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 C chopped hazelnuts {or pecans/walnuts}
Beat the butter and sugar on medium speed in a mixer {with flat paddle attachment} until creamy, about 1 minute. Add the bananas, eggs and vanilla and beat until smooth. Add buttermilk; mix on low just until combined.
In a separate large bowl, mix together the flours, baking powder and soda, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt. Add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and stir just to combine. Fold in the chopped hazelnuts, do not over mix. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan {and muffin tin}, bake for 55 to 60 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
My mom forwarded me an email that had us laughing.... what do you all think ;)
PUBLIC TOILET
This is a picture of a public toilet in Houston
.... from the outside:
Now that you've seen the outside view,
take a look at the inside view...
take a look at the inside view...
It's made entirely of one-way glass!
No one can
see you from the outside,
but when you are inside
it's like sitting in a clear
glass box!
Now would you... COULD YOU....???
We both decided that more than likely we couldn't pee in this toilet. I would be too nervous people could really see in. The whole time I would be going the bathroom I would be scanning peoples faces to make sure they were not indeed looking at me. My mom said she would be waving to make sure people wouldn't be waiving back lol.
