Tuesday- We went to Waikiki and walked around the strop and had lunch. I showed her Waikiki beach and we went to the Army museum there. I made stir fry for dinner. She had shipped me my favorite stir fry sauce so I had to show her why we loved it so much ;) After dinner we went North Shore and watched the sunset. It was absolutely beautiful! We got some shaved ice on the way home!
Wednesday- Deb and I went to Pearl Harbor while Eric worked. She really enjoyed the audio tour of one of the old Subs. We had lunch at Chilis... my favorite!! Then we went to the swap meet at the Aloha Stadium. It is basically a ton of vendors selling stuff for really cheap. She got a lot of stuff for her family back home so that was fun!!
Thursday- We got up early so I could go into the lab to do my glucose test fasting. After we went to Dole where they grow pineapples. They have the best pineapple ice cream there... if only I knew I failed my glucose test before eating that ice cream!! Then we went to an area where the royal use to give birth. It was not as cool as I expected. It was pretty much trees and stones lol. After that we headed to the north shore to do some shopping! After Eric got out of work we headed to the North Shore for dinner at Breakers. Then we went to Sharks Cove where Eric snorkeled and we watched the sunset. This time it was not as pretty :(
Friday- We went to the Polynesian Cultural Center. It was like a park full of different islands cultures. It was pretty neat. We got to do and see things from each station. We had dinner and a luau here as well. The food was REALLY good!! I learned that Audrey's name in Hawaiian is Aukele. I ended up getting a bracelet made with her name on it. Then we went to a show called Breath of Life where it was hawaiian dancing and fire dancers. It was the best part!
Saturday- We headed over to Pali Lookout on H3. It has AMAZING views but it is super windy!! We had lunch at a pub and grill. They had amazing food. We drove over to Kualoa Ranch where we did a movie site tour. It had the best views of the mountains. Eric and I were obsessed with the show Lost so it was really neat to see a lot of their sites and props. They had a horse ranch where they do tours and I wanted on it so bad!! After I give birth you will find me there ;) Then we headed over to Macadamia nut farm. It was pretty neat. They had a ton of different types of macadamia nuts. Eric just cooked hamburgers on the grill and now we are getting ready to watch a movie and settle down for the night. We are going to wake up at 5am to hike Diamond head before the sun beats down on us.
Here are pictures from the last couple days:
